CFAF 13.7 billion Interest-Free Loan from China to Cameroon
(Business in Cameroon) - Cameroon’s Head of State, Paul Biya, has signed two decrees authorizing the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT) to sign, with the People’s Republic of China, interest-free loan agreements totaling 13.7 billion francs CFA to finance projects in the country, published in the country’s public newspaper, Cameroon Tribune on Thursday April 4, 2013.
In mid-November, Cameroon and China signed another cooperation agreement of about 3.8 billion CFA.
According to the Chinese Embassy in Cameroon, the country is preparing the ground for investments in priority areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, renewable energy, and human resource training up to 2015, APA news said Thursday April 5, 2013.
